 Wire Bondable Resistors from Isotek Corporation Isotek offers a wide range of wire bondable resistors that are specifically designed for wire bonding in hybrid circuits. These wire bondable resistors can be soft soldered or epoxy bonded to heat conductive ceramic or steel substrates.

The SMH series are precision wire bondable resistors designed for power hybrid applications where wire bond attachment is required. These resistors have a copper base plate that allow them to be soldered or epoxy bonded onto metalized ceramic DBC, or IMS substrate. Their unique structure allows for highly efficient heat transfer to a heat sink via the thermally conductive adhesive and the copper base plate which results in the 3 W rating at +95 degrees C.

The PMB & PMU wire wound resistors use etched Manganin foil that is laminated to a copper substrate. This unique structure allows a high pulse rating while providing long term stability.

Ranging from 1 mOhm to 2 Ohms, both PMB and PMU wire bondable resistors have a four terminal (Kelvin) configuration.
